Mission

The Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (CSCRE)delivers acurriculum focused primarily on African-, Latino/a-, Asian-, and Native-American (ALANA) people in the United States,who are usuallymarginalized, under-represented and/ ormisrepresented in the normative curriculum. CSCRE also fosters critical dialogues on race through its Discussion Serieswhich brings several speakers, artists, and performers to Ithaca each year. This dual focus is meant to help students develop a comprehensive understandingof themultiracial and polycultural world in which we live.
